Alyssa Smith

Dr. Smith left her home of Elyria to get her DVM at Louisiana State University and, lucky for us, returned to the area to care for local pets. An explorer at heart, she claims Glacier National Park as a favored vacation destination but is just as happy to spend the day hiking and kayaking with her husband and dog a bit closer to home.

It's been said that it takes a community to raise a child and Dr. Smith feels much the same when it comes to pets! With a goal of lifelong learning, she believes that client education is key in the partnership between veterinarian and guardian. With interests in internal medicine, ophthalmology, behavior, and surgery, you can trust that Dr. Smith has your pet's whole-body wellness in mind at each appointment. 

Crossing the last of the 50 states off of her traveling bucket list is a definite goal and so is finding new nearby parks to explore. When her wanderlust is satisfied, you may just find Dr. Smith at home, curled up on the couch with a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup and the newest top-selling book in her lap.
